It's a Website!

The Underground I started the website for The Lynchburg Underground! Check it out. Email The Boss and give input and requests. Sweet.

Weekend from Hell

I haven't even given the thought to putting time to post, I'm sorry....here's why. First the bad stuff: Last Thursday my wife's cousin Sherry's husband George was killed when he lost control of his car. I don't know a lot of details, but people that saw the remains of the car tell me it was pretty bad. The viewing was today. My thoughts go out to his family, to his son Georgie, his wife and her unborn child. It's just rough any way you look at it for them. Kat's great aunt Bea passed away earlier today. Kat wasn't extremly close to her, but that is her dad's aunt, and he's pretty much shaken by losing people that he's been so close to for so many year. The good stuff: Lynchburg Underground is running pretty smoothly so far. I got the server running and everything. That took forever. So if you're ever on Shoutcast , search for Lynchburg Underground and tell me what you think. I'm hoping to have a website set up just for tha

digg

digg Ok, so you may want to ask me sometimes, "Mike, why and how are you such an endless resource of useless knowledge?" Most anyone who follows tech news, digital rights/privacy, online shopping deals, hell almost anything tech goes to digg. From cheap hardware to the lastest in hacking, it won't take long to be as informed as I am...and I'm fairly informed.

Venues

Not much to say this weekend. Here's a list of concert venues that you'll likely find me this year. This year everyone should be taking in as many shows as possible. Maybe good music will make a comeback. CattleAnnies Jaxx 9:30 Club Alley Katz The NorVa Hampton Coliseum Richmond Coliseum Roanoke Civic Center Salem Civic Center

Last Night/Pics

Pics from Last Nite Thanks to Jaxx for posting a couple shots from last night. This is the remainding members of the band signing autographs. I could tell they hated having to come out and not being able to preform. The other two pictures are of their equipment. That drum kit takes 2 hours to set up. Crazy.

Mudvayne, Bah!

So I take half a day off from work, vacation. Shawn and I head up there around 1:30 and get there about 4 hours later. We made good time and got close to the front of the line. There were a few guys already there waiting so we hung out waiting for the doors to open. We had a lot of fun waiting, cutting up, and harrassing the bouncers. The crowd started to gather and it got cold as hell. Around 7, the bouncers come out and announce that Chad, the lead singer, is very sick and can neither talk nor sing. So we were pretty bummed about making that long drive for nothing. We went inside and I got some autographs, (see my will call printout above) and we headed back home. The band has promised to reschedule. I'm not upset or anything, just disappointed. Check the link in the title to see the message board relating to our wait before the concert.

It's Valentine's Day

Image
Yeah, it's a Hallmark holiday, and yeah if you have someone in your life, you should celebrate them every single day, but heck, it's worth it just to see my wife's eyes light up when I bring her roses or chocolates or a card. If you're with someone, not with someone, or with someone you hate, make the most out of the day and remember love. It's the sappiest of all emotions. I love you, Kat. Forever and ever. You are soooooooooo stuck with me!

Media Players

WINAMP.COM | Winamp.com: Media Player, Skins, Music Videos, Songs I've always been happy with WinAmp. I like the plugins, the ripping, the burning, the itching. Ok, not the itching. With the soundcard that I have now, my music sounds really good. All I need now is an MP3 player to carry around with me everywhere I go. My birthday's coming. Maybe I'll luck out.
