Diamonds are a Boy's Best Friend

Researchers at Melbourne University are growing diamond particles on optical fibres to transmit information they say will be impossible to hack. The diamonds, just 1/1000 of a millimetre in size, send information through a single photon of light instead of the billions of photons found in an ordinary light beam. read more  |  digg story

Ozzfest 2nd Stage

Ozzfest Unofficial Updates It's official! The mystery second stage band at Ozzfest 2005 will be none other than Journey. yes, Journey. Check the link. Those of you who check ozzfest.com knows theres one open spot and the picture they use looks frighteningly close to those classic pioneers in crappy keyboard pop.

Who Likes Pi?

Pi to 1,000,000 places This is what my brother the math nerds sees in his dreams. I kid you not. This hurts my brain. Enter at your own risk!

New Static X

Image
Wayne Static The new album is coming out in a few months. They threw out a few bones on their website. I'm mostly relieved they are going more towards the sound from Wisconsin Death Trip. Their last album was just....boring. From what I've heard so far this is going to be an intense album. My fingers are crossed.

Bryan Ottoson

I just found out that Bryan Ottoson from American Head Charge died yesterday from a drug overdose..he was 27. 27 years old. I am sad and sick of hearing life being cut so short. Enjoy every second you have....

Who Am I?

I catch myself posting about things that catch my attention. I never sat here to write about myself. I don't want to waste people's time with a biography. I just want to describe who I am. I should expose myself from behind the curtain for all to see. I am Mike Lewis. I am a force of nature. I am strong, intellegent, and determined. I inherited the gifts of sacrifice, selflessness, and self sufficiency from my parents. I learned a strong work ethic from them. I learned to respect women, fear God, and find happiness...in everything. I have desires in my walk on this rock. I see great things happening. I see people cheering me, I see women swooning, I see men respecting me, I see the world, and the world is mine. I get the impression over the past few years that no one sees my drive. What would mask such a thing? I pour myself into seeing other people happy. Sometimes that is more of a fault than an asset. In being everything to everybody nobody gets to see the everything t

KoRny Blog

butt sex crips Yeah, I know..everyone hates Korn. Well for those interested, Jon's been keeping a blog going over the studio work for their next CD. As always it's worth a look when I post it on the blog. And the name of the blog is classic. Butt Sex Crips. How sweet is that!?

Blah Blah

I've been quiet all week. I haven't had really a lot to say either. Between the impending move, taxes, getting the car fixed, paying bills, and other fun money issues I just haven't had anything on my mind. Money issues always makes me crabby anyways! I hate it when I have to come up with a fortune and I can barely scrape pennies together. Some stuff going on lately: Mudvayne's new CD dropped last week. I had to get it. Lucky for me, Jessi hooked me up with a 50 dollar gift card so I got to get it for the low low cost of free. It's an awesome CD. Definately not their best work, but they did put a lot of time and energy in creating it. Mudvayne's New CD The Screen Savers is back....sorta. Podcasting is so freaking sweet. Check out their site and tune in. It's finally springtime. I'm so happy. I just got so tired of cold weather. Ok, enough whining. I have laundry to do.

Don't Forget

I just thought this was a pretty sweet ad for Firefox. Don't be a fool, protect your tools.

Splinter Cell

Image
I was addicted to the Splinter Cell games from the start. Currently between vomits, coughs, and noseblows, I'm playing the latest title, Chaos Theory. All 3 games out so far pretty much focus on high tech terrorism, hacking, and government espionage. You know, Tom Clancy stuff to the bone. I need to check out the book, I haven't done that yet. I also can't wait to see the movie .

The Pope

Vatican Satellite Imagery I know I never posted anything about the passing of Pope John Paul II. There really wasn't anything that I can say that wasn't already said this week by people much more respectable than I am. The link in the title should take you to a satelite image of the lines in St. Peter's Square. Simply amazing.

So Much Love!

You have to be kidding me. Over 1000 people have visited my blog? Dang, thanks guys (non gender specific). That's pretty cool. I hope people will continue to find useful information and insightful commentary. This has been a horrible week! I came down with your run of the mill colds on Monday and I have been out of commission ever sense. I can't breathe, talk, swallow, eat, drink, and move. So I'm pretty much legally dead until it passes over. On top of everything else, I've vomited and developed some kind of pimple under my eyelid. I can't even close my eyes without pain! I visited the doc, he gave me stuff for the congestion and for the sinus and ear infections that I have. I have a lot of pus in my head now. Whatever you do, don't squeeze my skull. It could get ugly.

Swedish Metal

Swedish Metal - www.swedishmetal.net With 3 bands on the second stage at this year's Ozzfest I had to look into the Swedish metal scene. Holy crap there's a lot of solid bands from Sweeden! The above link is a database, it will blow you away. We have no metal scene in America compared to this...at all. I should change my name to Mjykal.

I Can Almost See My House

Google Maps is something else. This has to be the sweetest technology I've had my hands on legitimately. Of course privacy groups have their panties in a wad about this. How do I know this you ask? Because I can see them. The panties are indeed in a wad.

Firefox to improve pop-up blocking

Yeah, Firefox is definately a target now. I've noticed a fair amt of flash pop ups also, Mozilla is working on it and soon, for the time being, again, that problem won't exist again. read more  |  digg story

Not much going on in April locally, but this promises to be a pretty big show.

How to use your cell phone as a modem

I love technology. This is how I picture myself in 5 years: a laptop and my cell phone. Outside of the wife, that's pretty much all I'd need. read more  |  digg story
