Ozzfest Line Up

Image
It is that time of year again. The Ozzfest line up is pretty much put together. Here's what we got: In This Moment Daath 3 Inches of Blood The Showdown Chthonic Circus Diablo Ankla Nile Mondo Generator Behemoth Hatebreed Lordi open Lamb of God Ozzy The catch is that Ozzfest is only playing in Charlotte. I'm not all that convinced yet that I would drive that far, but it would make for a nice mini vacation. Drive out there, catch the fest, stay the night over there, hang out in town the next day and drive back. Not too bad. I'm thinking about it. Janine and I had a good time last year and I know this year would be lots better. Still, Charlotte. That's one hell of a drive. Yuck! But dang what a line up. I'm torn. I'm hoping they're are some local Offfest dates. Since Ozzfest is free this year, I'm sure they'll be doing that quite a bit.

Nothing Worse..

...than a bad winner. I won my fantasy NASCAR this weekend, beating the undefeated Kelly Stern ! I figured I'd rub it in a little bit more before it gets tired and annoying...so nyah nyah nyah nyah boo boo!!! Speaking of Kelly, he pretty much buzzed his head to death over the weekend, I told him he looked like that guy from Lost....Matthew Fox..just with less hair. I wish I could pull that off. Mikey is wayyy too fat to look good with a buzz cut. I'm just jealous. Speaking of Lost, I have to recommend, again, that people get caught up on Lost. Janine and I are watching the second season now and it's just insane. There's plot twists, a lot of mystery, and every episode ending is a cliffhanger. We stayed up Friday night, almost to 3AM because we couldn't just stop at the end of a particular episode. I think next time, we'll start watching the next episode and 10 minutes through it, stop the DVD for the night. I had such a great time yesterday visiting my parents a

I'm an In Flames fanatic. I love those Swedish bastards! Check out their tribute band Jester's Flames . They even have the look down. It's all good too, they're Italian! They even have the white outfits and ties down. Yeah...awesome!

Around My World in 80 Seconds

As I may have mentioned, I listen to my podcasts every day on my commute to work (which is getting longer by the day it seems). Lately, all the techy geek podcasts have talked about is Twitter . Basically it's a micro blog service that lets you post what you're doing or your thoughts in under 200 charactors. I find it pretty useless because I'm not the chatting type anymore, but I signed up anyways. I even put the little flash update thing right here in my blog. If I do get my friends on board, it would probably be a little more interesting, so I figured a little word of mouth might help. Janine might even love the service because it dosen't involve all the stuff that blogging involves. Jessi wouldn't need to sign up because we all know she plays World of Warcraft constantly! Kelly could always pop on to tell everyone how he's NOT drinking anymore. Gene can post about sleeping for 14 hours straight....or something. Going to the website though, it dosen't tak

I'm back to being my old lazy self again, which is no stretch. I've taken it easy most of the day. Janine and I did have a yummy breakfast at Bob Evans, but she had to go to work. We are feverishly trying to get caught up on Lost which I'm kicking myself now over because I should have been watching the damn show in the first place. So I've been spending the day converting episodes of Heroes so I can load them onto my iPod. Speaking of my iPod, I saw an ad on DLTV for an iPod toilet dispenser. You may laugh, but I've found myself many, many times on my throne watching a podcast or listening to music. Ok, I may laugh too, that's pretty ridiculous, but it's so damn practical! I also saw this cute little ad for Firefox that was displayed at the South by Soutwest event last week, and thought I'd take a second, like I do every few months, to remind people to switch over to a more better browser. I've also taken some baby steps with my podcast. I've rec

Team Ugly Update

My Dad would disown me if he knew that I was getting creamed in fantasy NASCAR by a girl, a straight guy, and 3 gay dudes (laugh it up, Kelly)! I'm 0-3 and it dosen't look good. They're brutal and they're tearing me a new one. Yeah...har har! But I have my savior now. I picked up the guy that finished the Daytona 500 upside down and on fire. Go Clint Bowyer! Go Team Ugly! (Greg Biffle, Jamie McMurray, Clint Bowyer)

What a Week

I'm officially 33 now. But enough about that.. Janine and I took off for my birthday and we made a day of it. We went to the Science Museum again, this time to see everything there. It was ok. It seemed much more fascinating when I was a child. Now it just involves more reading than I care to do in one setting. Still a good learning experience. After dinner at Red Lobster(yum), we went to see 300. It is beautifully violent, but the story was good, the acting was good. It's just good. I wish it was playing in IMAX around here, but it's not. It was great to see it at any venue though. I highly recommend it. Saturday and Sunday we spent in Lynchburg hanging out with Jessi. That was very relaxing and very much needed. It was great to finally meet Sam. I can't wait to get them to come up here to visit us! I got to show Janine around the old part of town, through downtown, and up Rivermont. She was fascinated by the housing there. It's still reasonably priced and it's

I pulled these from digg . Beavis is alive and well and breaking into houses. This gentlemen was caught after Christmas breaking into someone's house and wearing the lady's clothing. Hu Hu Hu Hu.. This guy better hope to hell html dosen't become obselete or his sad attempt at being cool will fail much more than it already has. I wonder if he has (/body) tattooed at the crack of his ass. Two thumbs up, (dork).

300

I almost forgot! This Friday for my birthday, Janine is taking me to see 300 at the IMAX theater here in town. I have a feeling this is going to be an amazingly violent but good movie. I really look forward to it. The new trailer looks really good too.

Next weekend I'll be turning 33. But enough about that. Janine and I are going to Lynchburg to celebrate. We'll be visiting Sam and Jessi on their new apartment. I don't think we'll do anyting too exciting, I mean it is Lynchburg. Mostly, I'll show Janine the area that I lived in for so long, where I used to work, where I used to hang out. That should take about an hour. So the rest of the time we'll be hanging out and trashing their clean apartment! I just never thought I would put the words Jessi and clean apartment in the same sentence! My Dad turned 65 yesterday. I have to admit that's quite an achivement, especially for his side of the family. The men didn't make it very long on the Lewis side, either through wars or I'll say lack of self maint enance. I can't say enough how much respect and love I have for my father these days. He's been nothing but supportive and understanding with me. Happy Birthday, Pop. It looks like the Tool
