Lowest Point..

I'll just spend a minute going over the event of the past few days...I'm still pretty numb about everything that is going on. We got back from the In Flames show around 2AM. I popped in a metal video CD for Jessi and Will when I got a sudden phone call. It was a 757 area code, so I figured maybe one of us left something in Norfolk. Wrong. It was a tow truck asking if there was anything I needed to get out of our car before they tow it. The past few weeks we have been overwhelmed with our bills and between that and spending a small fortune to get Kat's license back, we were unable to keep up with the car payment. Now the car is 2 days away from being auctioned and gone for good. We have to come up with a lot of cash to get it out of impound before then. To make things even more interesting, we lost the phone on Friday. Our only link to the outside world is wireless internet, and my co workers going out of their way to get me to work every morning. I can't say there'

So What's Next?

I'm thinking I really want to go see Mushroomhead in April. I'm hoping I'll have the funds and transportation to do so. I've never gotten to see these guys and I'd like to see them in a crazy small venue like Jaxx.

In Flames Show

I hit the door running out of work Thursday with Will and Jessi and we bolted to Norfolk from Richmond. I am impressed, Jessi got us to Norfolk in just over an hour. I love the interstate sometimes. Ok, enough bullshit, onto the show: We got there, I believe 2 songs into the Zao set. It was a pretty decent walk from the car to the venue, since I've haven't been to that part of Norfolk in forever and didn't know where to find parking. I have to say that I love The Norva. That is one tight venue. I wish they had a place like that up here in Richmond. I mean their music wasn't bad, we all just got the impression they just didn't want to be there. There was no crowd interaction and no sooner than they played their last song, they dropped everything and ran offstage. So eff you, losers. Devildriver was the second band playing. Now this was more like it! I've always enjoyed these guys and if I remember right from 2004, they were one of my favorite sets at the Ozzfest

Cornhusker Spends Last Days in Nebraska

CNN.com - Record jackpot winner still a mystery - Feb 19, 2006 That's really what the headlines should be saying. I've been to Lincoln, NE. It's not where you want to spend 365 million dollars! Well after taxes, something like $6.45.

My Taste in Women

I remember a conversation I once had with Jessi where I couldn't really think of any celebrities that I really found attractive. Sitting here today I thought I'd rack my brain and come up with a few examples of celebs that really do catch my eye. I'll even try to explain why, which I can promise will not make sense at all. And yes, some of these are from my more impressionable younger pubescent years too! First of all I have to say that Scarlett Johansson has really caught my attention. I will admit I really liked her as a brunette in The Perfect Score, but this image just shows her down to earth elegance. I told you this would make no sense. I used to watch The Practice on ABC all the time. Its rare I like courtroom dramas, but it was cutting edge for it's time. One big reason I watched, Marla Sokoloff. I don't really know why she grabs my attention, I will say that I've always thought long straight hair was the way to go for a woman and well, her's is pret

I've never really watched a lot of the Olympics, but now more than ever I feel their message of peace needs to be heard. And dang, there sure are a lot of Canadians playing. We're screwed.

Weekend Review

Now that I've had a full day to recover, I'll recap the events of the weekend. Friday evening Jessi makes it into Richmond from Lynchburg and picks us up. We pack up jump in the car and drive straight back to Lynchburg. Once there I was asked to do my wife's sisters taxes. Needless to say I did the wrong, but I tried. I strongly advise though if anyone is going to do a free online tax return, to use TurboTax . The other stuff just didn't calculate right. I was just lured by the word "free". Saturday morning after a yummy McDonald's buscuit, Jessi and I begin the tedious and dangerous task of cleaning out her apartment. The girl's got a lot of stuff and threw a lot of it away, but one person should not have more worldly possessions than all of her friends combined! But I digress, she likes it when I fuss at her anyways. Shawn, Megan, and Kat show up later in the morning with the moving truck and we start moving heavy items. This went on all day and at a

Podcasting

I'm in Lynchburg this weekend helping my bestest friend move, but I'm up before everyone else so I thought I'd just post one of my random thoughts/ideas. I'm going to start a podcast, probably within the next month or so featuring...well pretty much whatever I want it to feature. I plan on the format to be a metal show basically. I want people to take my 45-60 minute program, load it on their iPod's, and actually have good music and something really entertaining. So wish me luck, I'm sure I'll have links to a special site real soon!

News for my Wife...yeah

It looks like production is starting in ernest next week for the new Harry Potter movie. The cast is getting lined up and it looks like they've done a great job in casting. I don't know why I got goosebumps when I read who was cast on CNN , but I had to email Kat right away. I'm being completely lazy today because tonight Jessi is coming in to pick Kat and me up and taking us back to Lynchburg. Once there we are going to spend all day Saturday packing and moving Jessi to Appomattox then we 're going to Kat's birthday party. Her birthday is next Tuesday. I have to figure out what I'm going to get for her. So this promises to be a busy weekend.
