I like how Kelly put it in his blog. Two Double Oh Seven! Yeah, it's finally here. This has been one long ass, crazy year. I'm going to put everything in recap form in the next week. For now, I am packing up and getting ready to head to Annapolis with Janine to bring in the new year with her friends. Annapolis is a really cool town. I like how it has a New England feel to it. It almost feels like I'm walking the streets of Boston. We won't be hitting the bars, thank goodness, so we can both relax have a few (ok, several) drinks and bring in the New Year right. This has been a crazy month of death too. Former President Gerald Ford passed and he is currently laying in state in DC. I am glad to see him being remembered as a gentlemen and someone who was thrust into a bad situation and did his best to heal a troubled nation. He did a wonderful job considering the bullcrap he inherited after Nixon's resignation. Saddam was finally executed over the weekend. He now joi...

I'm still actually pretty speechless about this year, but in a good way.. I GOT MY iPOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's an amazing piece of machinery. I've loaded my music already. That only took 3 hours to sync. Now I am putting videos on there. I can't for the life of me begin to fill this thing, but I'm going to try my best. Janine, thank you. I have been wanting and wishing and praying that I would get an iPod and now I finally have it. I'm shocked and amazed and so happy to have it. Damn, I love her. Her mom got us a new DVD/VCR combo. Our DVD player had pretty much hit the crapper a long time ago. The big challenge now is to get the surround sound set up properly. I also got a really nice shirt from her as well. Rachel and Andy are offering to help us clean off our back porch, and Wes got me a gift card to Best Buy. I used that already purchasing a case for the iPod. My parents gave Janine and I some cash, always the coolest of presents. All in all, not a bad grab f...

You Are 60% Left Brained, 40% Right Brained The left side of your brain controls verbal ability, attention to detail, and reasoning. Left brained people are good at communication and persuading others. If you're left brained, you are likely good at math and logic. Your left brain prefers dogs, reading, and quiet. The right side of your brain is all about creativity and flexibility. Daring and intuitive, right brained people see the world in their unique way. If you're right brained, you likely have a talent for creative writing and art. Your right brain prefers day dreaming, philosophy, and sports. Are You Right or Left Brained?

We're so Christmassy! Yesterday we all got off work early to attend our annual Christmas party. Janine got to see what I work with on a daily basis. She had fun though. Angela, an associate of ours in DC, was pretty much trapped in Richmond thanks to the mess on the interstate going back home. I95 North + rainy conditions + idiots Christmas shopping = disaster. So Angela, Kelly, Jeff, Janine, and I stuck around at the bar to have a few drinks and hang out until everyone could decide what was going on. It was great hanging out with Kelly and the gang a little bit. We are definately going to have to do that again soon, sorry Kelly , I had to steal one of your pictures. Nice shot! Janine and I have both been a lil under the weather since we left too, the stomach flu or something hit us both pretty hard. I'm hoping it's a little 24 hour bug so that we're in good shape for Christmas. Happy Holidays everyone! Please be careful out there, and don't forget to buy me lots of...

Janine and I brought redneck back in style last night. We went to see the pay per view event at the Richmond Coliseum. It was amazing. I had never been to a WWE event before, my Dad and I would go to the old NWA matches when I was little. Now that was back in the day. Ric Flair, Dusty Rhodes, Arn Anderson, The Rock n Roll Express, and a lot more. We got our tickets and rushed in just as Kane's music kicked in. I was kinda hoping they wouldn't start with the inferno match, but they did. We found our seats ...ok we found someone else's seats, but I wanted to watch the match. We didn't have to move until after the match. It was crazy. Kane from where we were way up in the nosebleeds was massive. He won his match by setting MVP on fire...literally on fire. As much on fire as you can be, I guess in a controlled setting. The next match was a big surprise. It was supposed to be a regular tag team match, but the commissioner of Smackdown, Teddy Long, set up a ladder mat...

Recent studies have shown that southpaws have a quicker reaction time, have better ability to handle multiple functions, and are more agile at certain sports. But I always knew that. Take that uppity right handers! The link and article are up in the title, but my left handed friends already knew that. If it wasn't for 2 cruel teachers telling me basically I was retarded for not using my right hand to write or eat, I think I'd be a full on lefty and would probably be on my way to world domination by now. This just makes me feel good despite the studies that show that left handed people don't survive as long as rightys in this right handed society. Ha. Ha. Ha. Genius.

It's amazing. 2 years ago I was sitting at my desk, catching up on news when stories erupted on the net about a shooting at a club in Colombus, Ohio. Only to find out that a legend was taken from us. "Dimebag" Darrell Abbot was fatally shot that night, a night which was called "The Day The Music Died" by various news outlets. I'm sad to think about having to endure even to this day such a loss, but it always picks me up to remember my younger years listening to Pantera and dreaming that one day I'd be in a rock band like him. What better way to recognize this giant of metal than with this video. Dimebag, rest in peace, brother. I'll see you on the other side!

The holiday rush hasn't sinked in yet, but I know it's coming up fast. This Sunday, Janine and I are going into town to get a tree and all the fixings that come with it. Being our first Christmas together, we have to get ornaments, decorations, everything. I'm looking forward to making a day of it. She has to work tomorrow, but lately her schedule at work has been really favorable for us spending lots of quality time together. The house is looking very nice. She busted tail to get everything put away after having such a busy November. We alternate cooking dinner for each other. Granted she does more work than me. My dinners consist of throwing something on the stove and something in the oven. She makes a big spread and goes all out. I'm going to have to kick up my cooking game just a little to keep up! She had never seen the full extended Lord of the Rings triology and after watching Clerks II, we had agreed to go pick them up. There's so much in the full versions t...

Tuesday night was such a blast! I rushed home to pick up Janine and we headed to the NorVa to see Seemless, The Sword, Lacuna Coil, and In Flames. Ok, we were kinda late, we missed the first two bands, but I know we'll see them again. I got to see Lacuna Coil at this year's Ozzfest but we were so far away, we really couldn't get a good feel of the band. Not the case in Norfolk. We were pretty close to the stage and got there just in time to watch them start up. It was a very nice set. I think even Janine who has said she's not too thrilled about them is now a believer. Even the lead singer had nice things to say about us, "We just began the final portion of our touring for the year after joining up with IN FLAMES , SEEMLESS and THE SWORD . The first gig in Norfolk was very good, with a lot of people jumping and screaming, so things are already off to a really positive start. Rock on, and we will see you soon." This is the third time I've seen In Flames, b...

I just figured, what the hell, let me get everyone updated before Blogger shuts down for the day. The more I complain about time getting away from me, the faster it goes, so I'm not going to lament over losing the entire month of November. It was still a very busy month and I got a lot done. I've been driving for a week now. I've even been Leslie a ride the past couple days, because her car is in the shop. I feel very proud now that I can help instead of just being a burden. I'm still waiting for Kelly to cash in on his free cab service late one night, haha. Janine can rest in now in the mornings, and she's much more refreshed and happy now. I can't begin in a million years to thank her for helping me out. She's so beautiful and funny, I have to keep pinching myself that I can have someone so great for me in my life. She's already purchased my Christmas present and it's driving me crazy! I know she hid it at her Mom's and I'm still tempted to...

I have a dog & I was buying a large bag of Purina at Wal-Mart and was in line to check out. A woman behind me asked if I had a dog. On impulse, I told her that no, I was starting The Purina Diet again, although I probably shouldn't because I'd ended up in the hospital last time, but that I'd lost 50 pounds before I awakened in an intensive care ward with tubes coming out of most of my orifices and IVs in both arms. I told her that it was essentially a perfect diet and that the way that it works is to load your pants pockets with Purina nuggets and simply eat one or two every time you feel hungry & that the food is nutritionally complete so I was going to try it again. I have to mention here that practically everyone in the line was by now enthralled with my story, particularly a guy who was behind her. Horrified, she asked if I'd ended up in the hospital in that condition because I had been poisoned. I told her no; it was because I'd been sitting in the str...
