One Year Ago...

I meant to do this on Saturday, but in the battle over memory, senility won. Can you believe that in a year's time:

  • In July, I was stoned and craving a glazed doughnut frozen beverage?
  • In August, I was a 16 year old having trouble with my DSL and spyware?
  • In September, I was a hacker recovering from Ozzfest 2004?
  • In October, I became a Korn, Chevelle listening uncle?
  • In November, I was celebrating Firefox 1.0, Collective Soul and the life of ODB?
  • In December, I mourned the passing of Dimebag, Ken Jenning's run on Jeopardy, and the end of a fun year?
  • In January, Kat found Harry Potter. I found the flu and St. Diablo.
  • In February, Mudvayne let me down, and I shared my passion for starting a band.
  • In March, I saw Slipknot, Lamb of God, Shadows Fall, Bleed, Art of Destruction, 3 Inches of Blood, The Agony Scene, Still Remains, and Trivium. I turned a year older and really really ready!
  • In April, the Pope died and I found my confidence.
  • In May, we partied for Jessi's birthday and finally got to see Star Wars, Episode 3!
  • In June, I battled a mosquito, went camping, partyed and answered questions from Salma Hayeck.
So what a fun year I had! I definately want to thank everyone that shared the year with me and enjoyed my insanity. I can't wait to recap another fun year!

    Mostly, I just recapped some things as they happened in my blog. This in no way is a full year in review.

I had a ball last night! Janine picked me up from work and we headed to Regency to grab some food and pick up James , who come to find out is a huge Sevendust fan and a lot of fun to hang with, more on that later. We headed to the Innsbrook Pavilion which looks really nice as far as outdoor venues go. There was your typical heavy police and security force there, and I don't blame them considering the copious amounts of alchohol that was being consumed by everybody. There was some band playing already out of Boston, but I wasn't impressed. Come to find out later the guy I was headb anging with during Sevendust was their guitarist. Soil came on next and I'm sold. I had doubts about their new lead singer, but he had a lot of energy. By the end of the set he was down in the circle moshing with the kids and hippies who paid for those tickets. For My Friend

I moved to Richmond in September, full of aprehension. Many of you by keeping up with my story know full well the ups and downs that I have faced. I was very fortunate to land a great job in October. After a lot of rejection, and fear for losing everything I started my new job with that same fear I had when I moved to this city. I was crammed in an office with Kelly Stern. He is such a kind, patient, gentle soul. He showed me around and I got comfortable working there really fast. I smile when I remember one of my coworkers talking about us giggling in there all day. I had fun those days. It did not take me long to find out that Kelly was gay. He mentioned living with Jeff, and I put two and two together fast. Kelly listened to my troubles, and gave me sound, firm advice. He has been so helpful to me also by taking me home from work almost every day and taking me by the grocery store to get supplies.
