Random Post Time

Image
At least once every six months, I open my blog and I start writing random things. This time I feel as though I'm letting off some steam to this wonderful world that I live in. Don't take it personal, it's just me being random. And go! Thank you for giving me the time by telling me it's 1700 hours, Sargent! If you paid fifty dollars to join a social network, your smarts are showing. If you are on the interstate and you're not sure if you are "Slower Traffic" and cars are passing you to your right, you are "Slower Traffic". Move right (once all the aggravated people pass you to the right, that is).  If you resort to name calling over anyone's choice in mobile phone, you need a hobby that does not involve a computer, mobile phone, or the internet. If you don't know who's on your local ballot and you are completely uneducated about what's going on in the world, I'm sorry, you should stay home this year on Election Day....

Attack of the Random

It's time to get random! Philly was such a blast, but last night I made cheese steaks that would be the envy of those big guys on 9th Street! Dr. Pepper Cherry - Not too bad. Gene Simmons is right, it has just a kiss of cherry and that is just fine by me. Best advice for anyone wanting to tour Center City: wear comfortable shoes! There is a lot of walking involved between Constitution Hall, the Liberty Bell, Chinatown, and where we were staying. What am I listening to lately? Check out The Sword. Here's a video: Yard work is not all work, but it does take up a lot of time. I've spent every day this week either watering, mowing, weed eating, or picking up sticks, and it looks like I really haven't done all that much. I do love it though. Once it's all picked up, it's going to look awesome! I really need to see what's playing locally. I have not been to a good show in months and months. I also really need to get back to work making my new Wordpress b...

25 Things You May Not Know About Me

I have seen in some social circles online a meme of sorts where people list 25 things that most people did not know about them.  I figured I'd take a minute and give it a shot. This was kinda hard for me. I'm really just simple and plain, really: My first PC was a 486 Tandy. And I thought it was fast and a good deal at two thousand dollars! My first internet connection came thanks to America Online. The first site I visited? Yahoo! My Mom proudly admits to stalking my Dad a bit before asking him out the first time. That's right, she asked him out. In the early 60's! I've cried at 2 rock concerts. When I saw Live in 1996 when they played Lightening Crashes and in 2005 when I saw Iron Maiden. They were happy tears, overwhelming tears of happiness. Not very Metal of me...I know. I have crazy vertigo and curl into a ball anytime I'm on a plane and it's landing. I'll never skydive, but I love flying. I love flying! And traveling! Take me to a beach for i...

Thoughtstorming

Instead of my occasional random thoughts posts, I figured I'd try to force myself to really think about a few things and post them. The results will hopefully not be too hard to read. My thoughts on Brett Favre playing for the Jets: I think it's great that he still wants to play football and I think he may have a year or two left in him. That is exactly what I was saying this spring when he was debating his retirement in the first place! I'm not even upset that he is playing for the Jets, this actually works out nicely for me. This way I can still pull for my Packers and reign in the Peterson era and watch and enjoy some Favre at the same time. So I am pleased. My thoughts on my iPod Touch: *hug* My thoughts on the housing market: I don't have a lot of nice things to say about the whole home shopping experience, I've also learned that there's really no one but real estate agents that have a single good thing to say about the whole experience. I have le...

It's a Random Attack!

You know what time it is I'm currently listening to In Flames - Drenched in Fear off their new album My day is just starting. The midnight movie really drained me. I got home yesterday afternoon and took a 2 hour nap. Then went to bed about midnight and slept until 9. I haven't gotten this much sleep since before I went to college I think. I won't make any more mentions of The Dark Knight....oops, too late. I'll be on Powncecast again tomorrow. I'm working on my material this morning, he won't know what hit him. Meeting went well with the Real Estate agent. I think we're going to settle for him, he knows what he's doing and specializes in first time buyers. The debate is now which house do we buy? There's one that's about 5 miles from here that's really nice in our price range and gives us a lot more space and yard than the other options, or do we pick somethin close to work in a great neighborhood but settle for a much, much smaller h...

Raaaandom!

With the new blog and the new house coming up, my thoughts have been pretty narrow, but I think it's time for some randomnes! Being dressed up like a pirate in a resturant and selling fish to tourists dosen't sound like such a bad career choice sometimes. The gas guarantee commercials from Jeep are annoying as hell! I see a 42 inch LCD in my future, and a lot more drooling. Is it a part of old age to loose control of bodily functions? I've been talking about drooling lately. Anyday now I'm hoping to win the mega millions. I might want to start playing. How can homeowners afford property taxes? I mean really? That's a lot of money that I'm going to give the state just to throw away. Speaking of throwing away money, might I say that Gov Kaine has been a tremendous failure? To watch a state government receive hundreds of millions of dollars in taxes and then LOSE it all and then have the audacity to ask for more just makes my skin crawl. We'll be saying goodbye...

End of the Month Random

And here we go! I'm amazed American Idol is still as popular as it is. I can only really stomach the auditions, but how much more can we take, people? I priced different PCs today both desktop and laptop including Macs. Getting a new computer would be a very expensive, far away task for sure. Payday is coming in 4 hours!! Hamburgers for dinner, tonight. I'm getting good at whipping them up on the George Foreman grill, but I can't wait to have a really nice gas grill to really cook 'em right. I had been getting a Generic Host Sys32 Process error on my PC the past few days. It's been a real pain in the ass trying to get that bug fixed. Darn you, Microsoft! Debating on whether to watch Eastern Promises or Day Watch tonight. Gotta watch one or the other. I'm already sick of that new Macbook Air commercial. It's a tiny piece of junk, we get it. Speaking for myself, I am ready for springtime. Janine and I are going to start planning a long weekend here soon. Work ...

And in Other News

Image
I have to get back into my old pre holiday routine and fast! I was off today (see prior, oh, 2 or 3 posts) so that's 3 weeks in a row where I've had some kind of extended weekend. I think things will be getting back to normal just in time for all the babies to be born. I do feel productive, though. I got Janine's car nice and clean after I trashed it on our trip. That's a very nice feeling of accomplishment. I love driving her car. I just really wish I could "pimp" it out, you know, put nice wheels on it, put a flames down the sides, maybe one of those large carburetors (you know, the ones that go over the hood). I mean she does drive a PT Cruiser, I think she should do it up right, 1950's hot rod style! I am nervous about this weekend, the Seahawks are coming to town to play the GB Packers. They played a heck of a game in the second half against the surging Redskins late week, so I'm hoping for blizzard conditions this weekend for sure. Will this be t...

Spontanious Random Combustion!

That's right, I'm all in your face with random thoughts! Wine + warm cozy room + warm cozy chair = napping fits! This seemed like a long week. I think that's mostly due to the fact that I really would like a day off to reset my internal clock. My internal clock is all screwy because now it's pitch black dark almost by 5 O Clock. I don't remember it ever getting this dark this early! I feel like I lose my whole day. All those hours of sunshine...to sit inside and play with the Wii that is. Miss Clairol and I are really looking forward to Saturday night. I'm sure Kelly and Jeff are going to throw one heck of a Christmas party. With the Redskins game already played and won last night, what are my chances that I'll get to see a Packers game on Sunday? Probably about as much of a chance if the Redskins were playing on Sunday. Speaking of the Packers. Big game this week against the Raiders. Mikey is very nervous. I don't think I'll get much of a chance to ...

Randomly

I do this now and again. I open up a six pack of randomness! Yesterday was hectic, but fun. Janine and I got an early start with some breakfast, then we headed out to get groceries, after that we went back out to watch The Nightmare Before Christmas in 3D, helped out with the Lenscrafter's gift of sight program, and finally went to Janine's Moms house to have spaghetti for dinner and watch Dexter on the HD. Phew! Nightmare Before Christmas - Really pretty in 3D. If you're a big fan of the movie, you'll love it...it was my first time seeing it..ever! Dexter is fast becoming the most well put together drama on television. That's not the most qualified statement, though. I've seen about 3 television dramas in the past 4 years. The kittens are starting to get bigger and smarter which means they are becoming more evil. They can disassemble curtains, take the telephone off the receiver, disable a sub woofer, and dissect a garbage bag. They're still very cute lil...
